Responsibilities

Translate business needs into viable solutions using LLMs and data, considering their impact on business indicators.
Co-create AI solutions with Product, Software Engineering, and Design teams.
Develop autonomous solutions using frontier LLMs for large-scale educational applications.
Apply vector databases, multimodal LLMs, single-agent systems, and multi-agent systems.
Develop and optimize annotation, validation, evaluation, and quality pipelines for LLM applications.
Implement evaluations, LLM-as-a-judge systems, and evaluation metrics.
Use the team’s development stack, including infrastructure for LLMs, governance, and API and computing cost optimization.
Co-create and rapidly prototype solutions with teachers, students, families, school directors, and pedagogical specialists.
Research AI papers, technical blogs, conferences, libraries, and techniques to inform the team.

Genuine interest in education and human learning.
Solid theoretical and practical foundation, through academic, open-source, or professional projects, in Data Science, Machine Learning Engineering, or LLM-based application development.
Fluency in Python and Git.
Strong software engineering practices, including Clean Code, unit testing, and design patterns.
Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to product and business stakeholders.
Intermediate to advanced English with excellent reading skills for documentation, scientific articles, and AI papers.
Practical education experience, production LLM experience, and experience building systems requiring recurring interaction with domain experts are preferred qualifications.
