Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Upgrade and enhance firmware and software for smart camera products and industrial vision systems using C and C++.
- Optimize system performance and power consumption while contributing to BIOS, bootloader, driver, and firmware update development.
- Perform software and firmware testing, review results, conduct root-cause analysis, and resolve issues.
- Maintain documentation describing firmware functionality and system behavior.
- Participate in code reviews, apply software engineering standards, and implement recommendations to improve team performance and productivity.
- Explore AI-powered and other development tools to analyze and solve engineering problems.
- Provide guidance to engineering technicians and build productive relationships across engineering teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 2+ years of relevant software engineering experience with a bachelor’s degree, or 0+ years with an advanced degree.
- Strong proficiency in C and C++ for embedded systems.
- Preferred experience with embedded Linux, kernel and driver development, and the Yocto Project.
- Preferred knowledge of computer vision, image processing, Ethernet/IP, Profinet, BIOS development or configuration, and Agentic AI or other advanced AI-powered development tools.
- Ability to learn specialized skills and deliver high-quality, impactful results.
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in both French and English.
