Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and automate large-scale, high-performance systems that drive business growth and improve product experiences.
- Build scalable data infrastructure and pipelines using software engineering best practices.
- Develop tools, services, platforms, and fulfillment-center integrations for Rocket Growth inbound and logistics operations.
- Take full ownership of projects, including high-quality development and operational health.
- Design and maintain highly available distributed systems at scale while balancing business trade-offs.
- Collaborate with product and technical teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Math, or a closely related field.
- Four years of professional software development experience.
- Experience working in cloud environments.
- Demonstrated experience building and maintaining highly available, distributed systems.
- Strong expertise in Java, Spring, AWS, APIs, and big data technologies such as Kafka and Elasticsearch.
- Strong coding skills in data structures, algorithms, problem-solving, refactoring, performance optimization, and complexity analysis.
- Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining distributed systems at scale.
- Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with product and technical teams.
- Comfort working in an agile, fast-paced environment.
- Front-end development experience leveraging AI capabilities.
