Responsibilities
- Design, develop, debug, test, and maintain full-stack software solutions for Vertiv’s Cloud Platform and remote services.
- Own system features through full-stack implementation and develop reusable components for common functionality.
- Implement user interfaces according to human-centered design principles and branding standards.
- Collaborate with software architects, technical leads, product managers, and engineers on system design, specifications, interfaces, and technical recommendations.
- Develop prototypes, provide development and testing estimates, create engineering specifications and test plans, and troubleshoot technical problems.
- Manage and update work efforts in Rally and participate in design, scrum, and team meetings.
- Follow coding, source control, documentation, and software security practices while identifying risks and continuous improvement opportunities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or another technical discipline.
- At least 5 years of software development experience with a demonstrated record of accomplishment.
- Strong experience with web application development, object-oriented programming, software design patterns, Angular, .NET Core, MVC, C#, C++, and SQL.
- Experience with service-oriented architectures, relational and non-relational databases, RESTful web services, and IoT protocols.
- Ability to design and develop software from engineering specifications and experience debugging and solving technical problems.
- Experience with JavaScript charting, graphing, and dashboarding frameworks such as Highcharts, FusionCharts, or ZingChart.
- Understanding of software security principles and design, equipment or device modeling for analysis and reporting, and preferably the data center and telecom industries.
- Python, Docker, Azure, AWS, React, microservices, cloud development, agile development, and relevant charting frameworks are preferred or considered a plus.
- Strong written, verbal, analytical, multitasking, and problem-analysis skills; English proficiency is required and additional languages are a plus.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
