Responsibilities
- Lead large-scale cross-cutting reliability initiatives across infrastructure automation, observability, and incident management
- Improve incident detection, response, and postmortem analysis capabilities
- Define and evolve SLOs, error budgets, and alerting standards across product teams
- Participate in on-call rotations and improve alert quality, noise reduction, and actionable telemetry
- Mentor and technically coach senior engineers across the company
- Provide technical guidance to leadership and represent reliability engineering in architecture and platform discussions
- Partner with software engineering and feature teams to embed reliability practices and improve production readiness
Requirements
- At least 8 years of experience in SRE, platform engineering, or infrastructure roles in large-scale, multi-team production environments
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
- Strong containerization and orchestration experience, including Kubernetes deployment and scaling strategies
- Production experience implementing and operating SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets
- Experience managing on-call rotations and leading incident response
- Strong systems engineering background and fluency in at least one backend language such as Go, Python, or Ruby
- Ability to set technical direction, drive consensus, and mentor engineers across teams
- Ability to balance long-term architecture work with iterative improvements
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Experience guiding feature teams on production readiness, reliability practices, launch reviews, and operational standards
- Fluency in English
- Preferred: deep expertise in observability tooling and architecture, including logging, tracing, and metrics
- Preferred: experience designing and operating high-scale telemetry pipelines and improving instrumentation quality
- Preferred: experience in regulated environments such as healthcare or fintech
- Preferred: interest in reliability enablement, golden paths, runbooks, and shared libraries
