Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture, development, testing, and evolution of scalable, reliable, and maintainable backend services and APIs.
- Own services end to end across development, deployment, scaling, monitoring, and production support.
- Design, deploy, scale, manage, and troubleshoot containerized services running on Kubernetes.
- Lead incident response and root-cause analysis for distributed systems and drive systemic reliability improvements.
- Work across cloud infrastructure and compute environments to support workload deployment, configuration, troubleshooting, and capacity management.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience owning backend or distributed production services.
- Strong expertise in Python, Go, or Rust and working proficiency in a second programming language.
- Experience building, scaling, and troubleshooting high-volume production APIs and backend services using containers and Kubernetes.
- Experience with cloud platforms, with Amazon Web Services or Google Cloud Platform preferred.
- Strong system design, performance, and reliability fundamentals, including distributed root-cause analysis and independent architectural decision-making.
- Foundational understanding of AI/ML technologies and experience leveraging, securing, or positioning AI-driven solutions.
- Experience using AI-assisted development workflows for code generation, review, testing, debugging, and operational automation.
- Preferred: experience operating production Kubernetes workloads across large-scale multi-cloud environments.
- Preferred: production-level proficiency in at least two of Python, Go, and Rust, or familiarity with C/C++ for systems-level components.
- Preferred: understanding of SSO, OAuth, OIDC, and observability using metrics, logs, and traces.
