Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business users to define application requirements.
- Develop, test, and maintain clean, performant code for client applications.
- Support project delivery alongside project managers and senior developers.
- Analyze large-scale time-series data and generate actionable reports.
- Collaborate with clients, engineers, and front-office stakeholders to deliver solutions on time and on budget.
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to a learning-oriented team culture.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of hands-on kdb+ development experience.
- Strong understanding of the q language and time-series data structures.
- Experience working in Unix/Linux environments.
- Strong logical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with software development methodologies and the software development life cycle.
- Excellent client-facing communication skills.
- Capital markets or investment banking experience is preferred but not required.
- Bonus qualifications include Python, cloud-platform, or other time-series database experience, project leadership or people-management exposure, and contributions to internal tools, documentation, or community initiatives.
