Responsibilities
- Maintain, support, monitor, and troubleshoot production applications, data processes, and cloud services, including incident resolution and root-cause analysis.
- Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT workflows integrating Oracle, SQL Server, SAP, SAP BW, Snowflake, AWS, Azure, GCP, and other enterprise systems.
- Build, optimize, and document scalable data pipeline architectures from ingestion through analytics, including time series pipelines.
- Use SQL, Python, Informatica, Snowflake, PySpark, and related technologies to transform and consolidate data.
- Assemble complex datasets that satisfy functional and non-functional business requirements while ensuring data quality, integrity, and accessibility.
- Implement automation, process improvements, performance optimization, cloud cost optimization, and development standards.
- Collaborate with cloud team members, architects, developers, data scientists, engineers, business analysts, and stakeholders on cloud, big data, NLP, and ML solutions.
- Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation for cloud support and maintain security and confidentiality standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- At least 5 years of AWS cloud development experience combined with data engineering, ETL/ELT development, strong SQL, and enterprise integration tools experience.
- Strong programming skills in Python and SQL, with exposure to TypeScript, React, and Node.js.
- Hands-on experience with AWS Lambda, CloudWatch, CloudFormation, CDK, VPCs, EC2, ELB, EBS, AWS CLI, and Amplify.
- Experience building data pipelines and large-scale cloud solutions with PySpark, Pandas, APIs, Snowflake, and Palantir.
- Knowledge of data architecture and governance, including data modeling, warehousing, data quality frameworks, and SAP/SAP BW, Oracle, SQL Server, and NoSQL integrations.
- Familiarity with Amazon Bedrock, SageMaker, CI/CD pipelines, cloud security best practices, and Azure or GCP is an asset.
- Ability to collaborate on technical initiatives with developers, solution architects, business analysts, data scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders.
- Successful completion of background investigation, criminal history check, education verification, and professional reference checks may be required.
