Base Salary
$144k - $210k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect and implement scalable, secure, and resilient infrastructure across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- Deploy microservices through infrastructure as code and CI/CD pipelines, including scripting, testing, backups, and reliable configuration.
- Manage automated build and deployment processes using Azure DevOps, GitHub, Jenkins, AWS CodeBuild, AWS CodeDeploy, and AWS CodePipeline.
- Configure automated application monitoring, database log reviews, performance indicators, alerts, and notifications.
- Champion ChatOps workflows and perform system administration involving permissions, configurations, and application and process tuning.
- Mentor DevOps and Platform Engineering team members and contribute to technical requirements, ticket refinement, solution design, KPIs, and operational reporting.
Requirements
- BA/BS degree in a related field.
- 6–8 years of related work experience.
- Experience designing and configuring Azure services including AKS, Azure Functions, Logic Apps, ACR, Front Door, Application Insights, Key Vault, Load Balancers, VNets, Traffic Manager, and Event Hub.
- Experience automating microservices deployments using CI/CD and infrastructure as code, including Terraform, Azure ARM, CloudFormation, or Pulumi.
- Experience with Kubernetes, cloud-based DevOps environments, software-defined networking, fault-tolerant infrastructure, regions, and availability zones.
- Experience with JavaScript frameworks such as React, Angular, Vue.js, or Ember.js, and at least one programming language such as JavaScript, Ruby, Python, PHP, or C#.
- Proficiency in Bash or PowerShell scripting and familiarity with Git version control.
- Experience configuring alerts and solving monitoring challenges with continuous synthetic transactions.
- Experience with monitoring and analytics platforms such as Azure Log Analytics, Google StackDriver or Operations Suite, New Relic, Splunk, or Datadog.
- Understanding of Microsoft SQL or MySQL and experience with CI/CD tools such as CircleCI, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or AWS CodePipeline.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments, including sprint planning and backlog refinement.
- Strong communication, analytical, decision-making, interpersonal, conflict-resolution, collaboration, and follow-through skills.
- Experience contributing to operational reporting covering system health, performance metrics, and KPIs.
