Base Salary
$68k - $102k/yr
Responsibilities
- Analyze and resolve basic production issues using department troubleshooting guidelines.
- Provide Level I development and application support.
- Develop, design, modify, and enhance individual software modules and components with guidance.
- Plan and execute unit tests for owned code and perform integration testing within project scope.
- Collaborate on AI-assisted software development, including code generation, test-case creation, and documentation.
- Support small-scale GenAI proof-of-concept projects involving APIs, prompt engineering, and AI-driven automation.
- Participate in learning initiatives involving model APIs, embeddings, and responsible AI practices.
- Gather requirements, create test plans, and communicate technical and business information to technical and non-technical users.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field, or 2+ years of equivalent experience in a related field within a medium-to-large IT organization.
- No previous professional experience is required, but 1+ years of experience with a programming or scripting language such as C#, Java, JavaScript, or SQL is required.
- 1+ years of experience writing or modifying programs for small- to mid-size applications is required.
- 1+ years of experience administering and/or configuring an application is required.
- Basic knowledge of the software development lifecycle, n-tier architecture, and database concepts.
- Exposure to Microsoft container, Open Source container, and Java platforms.
- Preferred familiarity with Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, Google Vertex AI, RESTful API integration with LLMs, Generative AI, and ethical AI practices.
- Microsoft Tech, PeopleSoft Tech, Java Tech, or OpenSource Tech certifications are listed.
