Responsibilities
- Develop and customize Android platforms for automotive infotainment and digital cockpit systems.
- Technically lead teams and drive software architecture concepts and decisions.
- Develop Android platform components, custom HALs, OS extensions, middleware, and device configurations.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle for information and entertainment applications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex platform issues.
- Execute Android version migrations and maintain compliance with CDD, CTS, and VTS certification requirements.
- Write unit tests for developed modules and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Requirements
- At least 7.5 years of professional experience, including 5 or more years in the Android platform domain.
- 15 years of full-time education and a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a similar field.
- Expertise in Android Framework, AAOS/AOSP customization, device configuration, C++, Git, Gerrit, and Google compliance testing.
- Advanced experience with custom Android HALs, AIDL/HIDL, Linux, Android version migrations, multithreaded programming, middleware, and operating-system concepts.
- Working knowledge of Java, Kotlin, Android NDK, Android components, service binding, IPC communication, thread handling, design patterns, and MVVM.
- Experience writing unit test cases and collaborating with AI-assisted coding tools such as GitHub Copilot.
- Strong communication and team collaboration skills.
- Automotive experience involving media, phone, navigation, home-screen customization, cloud communication, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS, or CAN is advantageous.
