Responsibilities
- Improve frontend application performance and reliability through code optimization and identifying enhancement opportunities
- Enhance existing features based on user feedback and improve usability and design
- Own frontend architecture for scalability, maintainability, and adherence to best practices
- Own projects from inception through production scaling
- Lead high-impact initiatives for Formal
Requirements
- Relevant software development experience building data-intensive software platforms
- Strong expertise in a modern frontend framework such as React or Vue.js and proficiency in a backend language such as Go
- Experience with streaming data processing frameworks such as Apache Kafka and Google Pub/Sub
- Some experience with infrastructure primitives such as Kubernetes and Terraform
- Experience building scalable, responsive, and cross-browser-compatible web applications
- Understanding of frontend development principles including testing, performance optimization, code modularity, and accessibility
- Strong problem-solving skills for complex technical challenges
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills for cross-functional teamwork
- Preferred: experience as an early engineer at a hyper-growth startup
- Preferred: extensive experience designing applications on Figma
- Preferred: experience contributing to a design framework
- Preferred: experience with UI/UX and product design
