Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Python applications and dashboards for Compliance and Trading Risk oversight.
- Integrate APIs from third-party trade-surveillance and monitoring platforms into internal systems.
- Build interactive dashboards providing real-time visibility into APAC trading activity.
- Translate regulatory and business requirements from Compliance and Trading Risk stakeholders into technical solutions.
- Understand and integrate data pipelines, APIs, databases, and dashboard or visualization layers.
- Write clean, tested, maintainable code, participate in code reviews, and support production tools.
- Collaborate with Compliance, Trading Risk, traders, and technologists across APAC markets.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience as a Python developer, including production experience building data-visualization tools or dashboards.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or another related technical discipline.
- Strong proficiency in Python and hands-on experience with data-visualization libraries or frameworks such as pandas, Plotly, or Dash.
- Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills for explaining technical concepts to nontechnical stakeholders.
- Experience in a trading firm, investment bank, or other financial institution is preferred.
- Experience with trade-surveillance or market-monitoring platforms such as Eventus or Nasdaq SMARTS is preferred.
- Experience with Compliance, Trading Risk, Regulatory Reporting, regulatory audits, front-end frameworks, business-intelligence tools, or APAC trading products is preferred.
