Responsibilities
- Own delivery of value-adding activities within a Scrum team and help govern the overall platform.
- Lead development direction and best practices for automated testing, platform frameworks, the SDLC, and junior-developer guidance.
- Develop, review, debug, and maintain secure, high-quality production code.
- Lead adoption and validation standards for enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development and automation tools.
- Identify and automate recurring issue remediation to improve software and system operational stability.
- Lead evaluations with vendors, startups, and internal teams regarding architecture, technical credentials, and integration applicability.
- Lead Agile delivery activities including Scrum ceremonies, sprint planning, retrospectives, and stakeholder progress reporting.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related discipline and 5+ years of applied experience.
- Commercial experience with React and Java.
- Experience designing scalable microservices using RESTful services.
- Knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, and bundling tools.
- Knowledge of Spring, Spring Boot, Kafka, Maven, and JUnit mocking frameworks.
- Commercial experience developing, debugging, and automating tests, including React Testing Library or Cypress.
- Expertise with relational databases, MongoDB, and JVM performance analysis including profiling, heap dumps, thread dumps, and garbage-collection tuning.
- Understanding of CI/CD, Jenkins, application resiliency, and security.
- Experience leading effective use of approved AI-assisted software development tools and validating outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Familiarity with ag-Grid, Redux or similar state-management tools, and cloud technologies is preferred.
- Experience in investment banking or finance technology and leading Agile delivery teams is preferred.
