Responsibilities
- Ensure squad implementations are consistent with the overall engineering strategy.
- Design and architect tools and technologies while maintaining the existing software stack.
- Guide team development efforts toward successful sprint delivery.
- Maintain high software quality standards through effective engineering practices.
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and coaching to team members.
- Communicate tasks, challenges, and workflows with Engineering Managers and globally distributed teams.
- Collaborate with Product and Design on requirements, roadmaps, and cross-functional delivery.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of industry experience as an individual contributor in full-stack web development.
- Advanced JavaScript and Node.js or Ruby on Rails skills, with 3+ years of React or TypeScript experience.
- At least 2 years of experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL.
- At least 5 years of experience building and maintaining RESTful APIs.
- Experience with mobile development and React Native is an asset.
- Experience developing and maintaining microservice-based systems is a bonus.
- At least 2 years of experience with Agile software engineering methods and tools, including Scrum and Jira.
- Experience with GitHub, AWS, architectural trade-offs, and globally distributed engineering teams.
- Understanding of requirements management and roadmap development with product managers.
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, or equivalent training, education, and experience in information or cybersecurity, computer systems, IT, or related areas.
