Base Salary
$180k - $230k/yr
Responsibilities
- Create and execute test strategies and detailed test plans spanning user interfaces, backend services, cloud infrastructure, external integrations, and robot-adjacent systems.
- Own release checkout and readiness validation, including critical workflow validation, results documentation, blocker identification, and go/no-go support.
- Build and maintain automated tests for APIs, backend services, web applications, integrations, and end-to-end operational workflows.
- Test kitchen operations software covering order intake, menus, recipes, tasks, alerts, and performance visibility.
- Validate delivery and commerce integrations, including synchronization, retries, duplicate events, partial failures, and asynchronous order-state communication.
- Test operator-facing and robot-adjacent interfaces and collaborate with firmware and robotics teams across software and hardware boundaries.
- Improve testability through simulation environments, mocked services, test data, diagnostic tooling, and repeatable test environments.
- Perform exploratory, functional, integration, regression, system, and end-to-end testing through rollout and production support.
- Participate in support or on-call rotations, incident reviews, design reviews, release reviews, and technical discussions focused on quality and reliability.
- Improve logs, metrics, alerts, dashboards, and other diagnostic capabilities and share quality and engineering best practices.
Requirements
- 7+ years of software quality, test engineering, or related experience, including ownership of complex test strategies or quality initiatives across multiple components.
- Deep experience creating and executing test plans for production software and improving software quality, reliability, and testability.
- Strong test automation experience using one or more programming languages.
- Experience testing APIs, backend services, web applications, databases, integrations, and asynchronous or event-driven workflows.
- Experience owning or coordinating release validation, release checkout, or production-readiness activities.
- Strong debugging, investigation, product judgment, written communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Experience working with CI/CD systems and integrating automated tests into build and deployment pipelines.
- Preferred experience with Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, Python, TypeScript, Go, Java, C#, Docker, Kubernetes, Protobuf, Terraform, Git, and continuous delivery systems.
- Preferred experience with simulation, mocked services, hardware-in-the-loop testing, SQL, analytics platforms, operational dashboards, observability tools, robotics, IoT, logistics, manufacturing, fulfillment, incident response, production support, or on-call rotations.
