Base Salary
$184k - $297k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end architecture and design of platform domains including IAM/RBAC, authorization, licensing and entitlement lifecycle, device management, and workflow orchestration.
- Design and build resilient, distributed microservices using Go, Node.js, Python, Google Cloud, and Temporal.
- Implement zero-trust security patterns, mTLS service authentication, OAuth2.0/OIDC, and fine-grained authorization models.
- Partner with Product Management, SRE, QA, and customer-facing teams to deliver cloud solutions.
- Develop shared Go, Node, and Python frameworks, client SDKs, event-driven patterns, and micro-frontend platform tooling.
- Drive reliability, scalability, latency optimization, and root-cause analysis for incidents across multi-region Kubernetes deployments.
- Recruit, mentor, and guide principal, senior, and mid-level engineers.
Requirements
- 15+ years of experience building large-scale enterprise SaaS applications.
- 5+ years in lead technical architecture or Staff/Principal engineering roles for cloud-native platforms.
- Deep hands-on experience building high-concurrency microservices in Go, Node.js, and Python.
- Expertise with Cloud Spanner, Cloud SQL, AlloyDB, Firestore, MongoDB, and Redis.
- Experience with event-driven architectures, GCP Pub/Sub, and Temporal workflow orchestration.
- Strong knowledge of OIDC, SAML, OAuth2, OPA/OPAL, Permify, RBAC/ABAC, Istio mTLS, and client-certificate authentication.
- Hands-on experience with GCP or AWS, Kubernetes/GKE, Helm, Terraform, and GitOps CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience influencing cross-functional engineering teams, building technical consensus, and delivering complex multi-year initiatives.
- Exposure to React micro-frontends, Webpack Module Federation, API Gateway design, or multi-tenant SaaS licensing is desirable.
