Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable Python-based cloud-native backend services, microservices, APIs, integrations, and distributed systems.
- Translate business requirements into technical architecture by facilitating discovery sessions, defining solutions, and driving implementation through delivery.
- Architect solutions on Azure and/or AWS using managed cloud services, serverless, event-driven patterns, and infrastructure as code.
- Lead adoption and evaluation of agentic workflow patterns, AI-driven automation pipelines, and agent orchestration frameworks.
- Establish Python coding standards, decompose architecture into developer tasks, lead peer code reviews, and uphold architectural principles.
- Partner with business owners, product managers, domain experts, developers, and vendors to align requirements and communicate technical tradeoffs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- At least 8 years of software development experience with Python as the primary language.
- At least 2 years in a similar architect, technical lead, or equivalent role.
- Production-grade experience designing cloud-native systems on Azure and/or AWS; deployment-only experience is insufficient.
- Experience designing and building scalable backend APIs, microservices, integrations, and distributed systems.
- Experience with Python ecosystem tools including FastAPI or Django, SQLAlchemy, Pydantic, Celery, and pytest.
- Experience with front-end frameworks such as React or Angular, message queues or streaming platforms, infrastructure as code, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience facilitating requirements, running discovery workshops, writing technical specifications, and aligning stakeholders.
- Knowledge of design patterns, SOLID principles, decoupled architecture, REST API best practices, Agile/Scrum, and cloud-native development.
- Interest in agentic AI workflows and AI-assisted development, with experience or learning in LLM integration patterns, RAG, prompt engineering, or AI pipeline design.
- Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, prioritization, and project ownership skills.
- Preferred qualifications include .NET/C#, Java, multi-cloud Azure and AWS experience, LangChain, LangGraph, AutoGen, Kafka, OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Bedrock, Mulesoft, Jira, Confluence, BitBucket, and distributed Scrum team leadership.
