Responsibilities
- Architect and design scalable, high-performance frontend systems aligned with product requirements and engineering standards.
- Build and maintain real-time interfaces using WebSockets and event streams for live chat, viewer counts, and engagement features.
- Optimize rendering performance, including re-renders, virtualization, selective subscriptions, batched updates, and state normalization.
- Develop modular, domain-driven frontend architecture and own features end-to-end from requirements through release.
- Use metrics and quantifiable data to guide architecture, optimization, and release-readiness decisions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, product managers, and engineering teams while communicating technical concepts clearly.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to mid-level engineers and drive improvements in team performance and efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
- 6–7+ years of hands-on software engineering experience focused on scalable system design and UI development.
- Proficiency in TypeScript, React, Next.js, GraphQL, and Tailwind CSS.
- Strong understanding of code architecture, design principles, React rendering and reconciliation, memoization, concurrent rendering, and scheduling.
- Experience with Figma, pixel-perfect implementation, design systems, and complex user interfaces spanning multiple platforms.
- Experience with performance profiling, debugging production applications at scale, and metric-driven feature development.
- Preferred experience with Radix UI, Turborepo or monorepo workflows, isolated component development, and visual regression workflows.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, architectural ownership, and mentoring skills.
