Responsibilities
- Design, develop, integrate, validate, and release low-level platform firmware.
- Build firmware for system management, secure boot, platform security, device management, recovery, initialization, reset handling, and firmware updates.
- Develop and debug low-level drivers for ARM-based SoCs and multicore architectures.
- Perform system-level debugging using JTAG, logs, and crash or exception analysis.
- Own features independently from requirements and design through implementation, integration, validation, and release.
- Contribute to secure root of trust functionality, firmware authentication, signature verification, and OTP provisioning.
- Collaborate with engineering stakeholders through communication, code reviews, unit testing, static analysis, and CI/CD processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- 6–10 years of experience in embedded firmware or software development.
- Strong proficiency in Embedded C, data structures, and low-level programming.
- Hands-on experience with any RTOS; FreeRTOS experience is preferred.
- Understanding of ARM-based SoCs and multicore architecture.
- Experience developing and debugging low-level drivers.
- Strong system-level debugging skills using JTAG, logs, and crash or exception analysis.
- Experience with SPDM, PLDM, and MCTP protocols.
- Experience with Caliptra and cryptographic or security APIs.
- Experience with bootloaders and platform firmware, including initialization, boot flows, reset handling, recovery, and firmware-update mechanisms.
- Understanding of firmware authentication, signature verification, and OTP provisioning.
- Familiarity with Git, code reviews, unit testing, static analysis, and CI/CD.
- Ability to independently own features through the full development lifecycle and collaborate with stakeholders.
