Responsibilities
- Own and operate platform services including customer and developer portals, centralized document management, and other cross-cutting services.
- Lead platform architecture decisions and mentor engineers while driving technical quality.
- Maintain engineering standards, shared libraries, service templates, API and event specifications, and Kafka integration patterns.
- Own performance and reliability, including distributed tracing, benchmarking, latency optimization, and incident response.
- Continue Keycloak migration and identity infrastructure work.
- Lead development of the developer portal and internal tooling.
Requirements
- 10+ years of backend engineering experience with distributed systems at scale.
- Strong experience with Node.js/TypeScript and Java/Kotlin.
- Experience with Kafka and event-driven architecture.
- Production experience with AWS, Kubernetes, and Docker.
- Experience with Postgres, Elasticsearch, Datadog, and Elastic APM.
- Experience in financial services or other regulated or high-reliability environments.
- Desirable experience with Keycloak or similar identity systems, OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML, zero-downtime migrations, Backstage, service templates, DORA metrics, and technical leadership or product ownership of platform services.
