Base Salary

$142k - $200k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to customers integrating Intel Ethernet products and technologies.
  • Support board and platform bring-up, low-level device initialization, OS driver and kernel configuration, system management, feature enablement, use-case testing, debugging, and verification across the IPU lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with customers, cloud service providers, and internal engineering, architecture, program management, and product management teams to deliver solutions.
  • Create application notes, user guides, and white papers for Intel IPU customer designs.
  • Evaluate, create, and enhance tools or software to improve efficiency, product quality, and performance.
  • Analyze customer designs and feedback through data mining and provide insights to engineering and planning teams.
  • Work independently across diverse stakeholders and manage priorities while communicating effectively in writing and verbally.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or a related field.
  • At least six years of combined experience with networking fundamentals, including NICs, hardware accelerators, switching, or modern data center protocols.
  • At least six years of experience with NIC hardware and software stacks, including configuration, testing, or troubleshooting.
  • At least six years of experience with Linux distributions, PCIe devices, network management protocols, or system debugging.
  • At least six years of networking solutions engineering experience.
  • Knowledge of Ethernet products and enterprise and data center ecosystems, including collaboration with cloud service providers and familiarity with data center workloads, RDMA, collectives, and AI benchmarking.
  • Understanding of secure boot flows and trusted computing environments.
  • Strong understanding of system software stacks and software-hardware interactions across platform firmware, device drivers, the Linux kernel, and user-space application performance.
  • Proficiency with GCC, Git, GitHub, RPM, Make files, shell scripting, Docker, and Jenkins.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work independently across diverse stakeholders.
