Responsibilities
- Architect and build data pipelines and infrastructure for manufacturing and test data, including yield, SPC, failure, and reliability data.
- Design, build, and maintain dashboards and visualizations for executives, engineers, and external customers.
- Partner with optical, manufacturing, and quality/reliability engineers to develop robust data models and tooling from ambiguous requirements.
- Build automated data quality checks and validation pipelines, including checks that gate shipping readiness.
- Identify and resolve missing, inaccurate, or inconsistent data in collaboration with domain experts and data/ML engineers.
- Improve pipeline reliability, turnaround time, and cost across product lines.
- Apply software engineering practices such as version control, testing, code review, and CI/CD to data systems.
- Help set technical direction for the data organization across Thailand, Bangalore, Singapore, and the United States, and mentor other engineers.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with substantial experience building and owning data, analytics engineering, or backend systems handling large operational datasets.
- Strong SQL skills and experience designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines.
- Hands-on experience building dashboards and visualizations with a BI or analytics framework such as Superset, Looker, Tableau, or similar.
- Proficiency with the Python data stack, including pandas and numpy, plus visualization libraries such as matplotlib, seaborn, altair, or similar.
- Experience with cloud data infrastructure, preferably AWS.
- Experience translating ambiguous requirements from non-data domain experts into reliable data solutions.
- Ability to own systems end-to-end, from data model through dashboard, in a fast-moving startup environment.
- Preferred: experience with manufacturing, semiconductor, hardware, high-volume operational or test data, statistical process control, SPC, yield analysis, or distributed multi-site teams.
