Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Python backend services and APIs.
- Build scalable applications, distributed processing pipelines, asynchronous workloads, and data-intensive forecasting and analytics workflows.
- Design and optimize relational OLTP databases, data models, and query performance.
- Develop internal web applications, user workflows, and business tools when required.
- Integrate services and build connectors across King and Microsoft ecosystems and external systems.
- Deploy, monitor, and operate containerized applications in cloud-native environments.
- Contribute to technical designs, architecture discussions, code reviews, testing, and engineering best practices.
- Improve reliability, observability, performance, and operational excellence.
- Support CI/CD pipelines and automation practices.
Requirements
- Strong production experience developing with Python.
- Experience building backend services and APIs.
- Understanding of modern web application development and ability to contribute across the stack when needed.
- Knowledge of asynchronous programming, concurrency, and distributed systems.
- Experience designing and optimizing relational databases and building data-intensive applications that process large datasets.
- Experience with background processing, job orchestration, or distributed workloads.
- Experience deploying and operating applications in containerized and cloud-native environments.
- Familiarity with CI/CD practices and automation pipelines.
- Strong testing, debugging, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Bonus experience with forecasting, optimization, simulation, analytics platforms, major cloud providers, Microsoft enterprise technologies, internal developer platforms, workflow automation, large-scale data processing, observability tools, and production performance optimization.
