Responsibilities
- Contribute to Elasticsearch by building new features and fixing bugs.
- Design and implement algorithms and data structures as needed.
- Collaborate with a globally distributed team of engineers.
- Serve as an expert in specific areas of Elasticsearch.
- Create scalable search functionalities for the Serverless platform.
- Engage with community members on issues and pull requests.
- Write idiomatic modern Java code.
Requirements
- Strong skills in core Java and familiarity with data structures and concurrency.
- Ability to work autonomously and guide projects from start to finish.
- Experience in collaborative development and providing feedback.
- Familiarity with data storage technologies like Elasticsearch, Solr, and PostgreSQL.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
