Responsibilities
- Build fast, accessible React Native mobile experiences for onboarding, real-time messaging, and match discovery.
- Design and maintain Node.js/TypeScript backend services, RESTful APIs, WebSocket connections, and WebRTC integrations.
- Integrate OpenAI and Anthropic LLMs, payment platforms, reservation systems, and SMS/push notification services.
- Surface AI/ML outputs such as compatibility scores, recommendations, and conversational agents through performant APIs and intuitive user interfaces.
- Own cloud infrastructure and deployment, with responsibility for reliability, security, and scalability.
- Implement analytics and instrumentation for engagement, conversion funnels, and product health.
- Develop reservation and payment integrations, real-time messaging, voice/video chat, component libraries, feature flagging, A/B testing, and admin dashboard functionality.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience building production fullstack or mobile applications.
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript, React, React Native, and Node.js.
- Experience designing and scaling RESTful APIs with attention to performance, security, and maintainability.
- Strong working knowledge of Postgres, including data modeling, queries, indexes, and database performance.
- Experience deploying and managing infrastructure with AWS, GCP, Vercel, or Railway.
- Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, feature flags, monitoring, and incident response.
- Familiarity with WebSockets and WebRTC is a plus.
- Experience with consumer products or startups and a focus on user experience, polish, speed, and edge cases are preferred.
