Base Salary
$190k - $280k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and evolve JavaScript SDKs supporting modern frameworks and runtimes.
- Plan, implement, test, document, and ship SDK code with end-to-end ownership.
- Write robust unit and integration tests and create clear documentation for internal and external users.
- Use AI tools to improve developer productivity while solving complex engineering problems.
- Collaborate with organizations and committees including TC39 and the OpenTelemetry SIG.
- Represent Sentry in the open-source community and help shape JavaScript standards.
- Assist the Customer Operations team with critical bugs and interact with users through GitHub and industry conferences.
Requirements
- At least five years of experience as a software engineer, web developer, or in a similar role.
- Deep expertise developing web applications, libraries, or SDKs with TypeScript and JavaScript.
- Hands-on experience with at least two modern JavaScript frameworks, such as React, Next.js, Vue, Nuxt, NestJS, or Hono.
- Strong understanding of framework rendering models, lifecycles, and runtime environments.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Based in the San Francisco Bay Area or willing to relocate there.
- Familiarity with edge runtimes, server components, or hybrid rendering patterns is a bonus.
- Experience contributing to or maintaining open-source libraries is a bonus.
- Experience engaging with open-source committees or working groups is a bonus.
