Base Salary
$158k - $208k/yr
Responsibilities
- Become the expert on the team’s business and technical domains.
- Lead the planning, execution, and release of complex technical projects.
- Collaborate with partners, product managers, designers, and engineers to solve challenging problems.
- Implement step-wise migrations of existing services and applications.
- Own small to medium features or infrastructure projects from technical design through completion.
- Work independently across the codebase while applying engineering best practices and producing stable, maintainable code.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with increasingly impactful accomplishments.
- Experience working with a variety of technologies and proposing, experimenting with, and iterating on technical solutions.
- Experience improving software quality and building fault-tolerant, scalable systems.
- Solid understanding of practical computer science concepts.
- Ability to write stable, correct, modular, adaptable, and maintainable code with limited oversight.
- Bonus: experience supporting libraries and writing Python and Golang.
- Bonus: experience owning observability tooling such as Grafana, BigQuery, and Kubernetes.
- Bonus: experience with engineering and data tooling, including discovery libraries, data replication, data transfer tools, and authentication and authorization libraries.
