Responsibilities

Develop backend application services and APIs.
Integrate systems with AWS and external cloud services.
Optimize backend components for speed and scalability.
Implement and manage caching, queuing, and background processing.
Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and architecture decisions.
Collaborate as part of an agile engineering team to improve team performance.
Work with AWS, GCP, MySQL, PostgreSQL, the ELK stack, Sentry, Redis, and Git.
Use modern AI tools and practices to improve developer productivity.
Participate in periodic on-call duties.

At least 2 years of demonstrated experience developing scalable and robust software.
Strong coding skills and a broad understanding of the Python ecosystem, including NumPy, Pandas, and Asyncio.
Expertise with Python web frameworks such as Django, Django REST Framework, Flask, or comparable frameworks.
Experience with SQL databases including MySQL and PostgreSQL, including schema design, query optimization, and migrations.
Experience with microservices, caching tools, data visualization, log collection and aggregation, search, and queuing systems.
Experience working in Linux environments and with shell scripting.
Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills.
Curiosity, eagerness to learn, and willingness to introduce new technologies.
