Responsibilities
- Develop backend application services and APIs.
- Integrate systems with AWS and external cloud services.
- Optimize backend components for speed and scalability.
- Implement and manage caching, queuing, and background processing.
- Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and architecture decisions.
- Collaborate as part of an agile engineering team to improve team performance.
- Work with AWS, GCP, MySQL, PostgreSQL, the ELK stack, Sentry, Redis, and Git.
- Use modern AI tools and practices to improve developer productivity.
- Participate in periodic on-call duties.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of demonstrated experience developing scalable and robust software.
- Strong coding skills and a broad understanding of the Python ecosystem, including NumPy, Pandas, and Asyncio.
- Expertise with Python web frameworks such as Django, Django REST Framework, Flask, or comparable frameworks.
- Experience with SQL databases including MySQL and PostgreSQL, including schema design, query optimization, and migrations.
- Experience with microservices, caching tools, data visualization, log collection and aggregation, search, and queuing systems.
- Experience working in Linux environments and with shell scripting.
- Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Curiosity, eagerness to learn, and willingness to introduce new technologies.
