Responsibilities
- Develop, enhance, test, and maintain backend services and business applications.
- Write and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and related database objects.
- Support application and data integrations with internal and external systems.
- Investigate and resolve application, integration, and data-processing issues.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and code-quality activities.
- Monitor application performance, logs, and alerts and coordinate issue resolution.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts, Infrastructure, Deployment, and Operations Support teams.
- Prepare technical documentation such as solution notes, deployment guides, incident records, and operational instructions.
- Follow development, security, and compliance standards.
- Contribute to application stability, development practices, and support-process improvements.
- Participate in production support and on-call rotation when required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum four years of experience in software development and application support.
- Hands-on programming experience with a backend language; Python or C#/.NET is advantageous.
- Experience with production application support, incident handling, and BAU operations.
- Strong SQL skills, including query optimization, stored procedures, DML, and DDL.
- Experience working with APIs and system integration.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Good English communication skills for working in a global team.
- Nice-to-have experience includes REST or SOAP APIs, Azure, AWS, monitoring tools, security controls, financial or insurance systems, and Git, Jira, Confluence, or ServiceNow.
