Responsibilities
- Lead architecture for strategic AI initiatives across products, platforms, and shared enterprise capabilities.
- Define architecture standards, reference patterns, and technical guardrails for AI solutions and AI-enabled software development.
- Guide capabilities including agentic workflows, AI orchestration, evaluations, AI observability, and AI governance.
- Ensure AI solutions meet enterprise requirements for security, privacy, compliance, resiliency, observability, and maintainability.
- Evaluate emerging AI technologies and guide organizational adoption.
- Shape architecture across applications, data, integration, platforms, and operations to prevent fragmented solutions.
- Mentor technical leads and senior engineers and participate in architecture reviews, technical strategy, and investment decisions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 12+ years of experience in software engineering, architecture, or technology leadership roles.
- Significant experience designing and guiding enterprise-grade AI solutions in production.
- Deep knowledge of LLM-based applications, retrieval systems, agentic workflows, prompt and tool orchestration, and evaluation approaches.
- Strong architecture experience with distributed systems, APIs, integration, data platforms, security, and cloud-native solutions.
- Experience establishing architecture standards, reference architectures, and technical guardrails across multiple teams.
- Ability to influence senior technical and business stakeholders without direct authority.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills across engineering and executive audiences.
- Experience balancing innovation, delivery speed, risk management, and long-term maintainability.
- Preferred qualifications include large-enterprise or platform-environment experience; AI governance, responsible AI, model risk, privacy, and security controls; cloud AI platforms and services; vector search; AI gateways; observability; production AI operations; AI-powered development tools; reusable enterprise AI architecture patterns; and mentoring architects or leading architecture communities of practice.
- A master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field is preferred.
