Responsibilities
- Automate operations and optimize infrastructure in partnership with application teams.
- Ensure systems are reliable, scalable, and high-performing.
- Troubleshoot issues in large-scale environments.
- Manage monitoring, alerting, observability, telemetry, service reliability measurements, and product feedback.
- Support incident and problem management, root-cause analysis, release engineering, and DevOps activities.
- Work with Kubernetes, configuration management, databases, networking, load balancing, and webMethods administration and development.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Scripting experience with Python or Bash.
- Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible.
- Solid understanding of Kubernetes concepts including networking, storage, secrets, deployments, and containers.
- Hands-on experience with monitoring and alerting tools such as Splunk.
- Hands-on experience with relational or NoSQL databases such as Oracle or MongoDB.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Proficiency in Linux, networking concepts, and troubleshooting in large-scale environments.
- Experience with Git, CI/CD, release engineering, DevOps, incident or problem management, and root-cause analysis is preferred.
- Preferred experience includes Nginx, Envoy, NetScaler, webMethods, AWS or GCP, governance and compliance, security standards, policies, cryptography, and SRE principles.
