Responsibilities
- Design, build, and manage cloud-based infrastructure for large-scale data systems.
- Operate and scale distributed data systems using managed cloud services and container orchestration.
- Ensure data and infrastructure are accessible, reliable, and secure in cloud environments.
- Drive automation, cost optimization, performance tuning, and adoption of new technologies.
- Design and manage repeatable, secure, and scalable Infrastructure as Code deployments using Helm and CRDs.
- Analyze and troubleshoot large-scale distributed systems and use ML and GenAI to improve operational efficiency.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of Infrastructure Engineering experience focused on building, scaling, and operating cloud-based distributed data systems.
- Expertise running cloud infrastructure built on managed services such as AWS.
- Strong experience with large-scale data-processing technologies such as Apache Spark, Flink, Kafka, or Iceberg.
- Strong expertise with Kubernetes and other container orchestration systems.
- Strong programming skills in object-oriented, functional, or procedural languages, preferably Java, Scala, Kotlin, or Python.
- Experience with big-data processing and storage systems, including streaming and batch workloads.
- Experience designing and managing Infrastructure as Code with Helm and CRDs.
- Experience designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems, plus influencing system design and technology adoption.
- Experience leveraging ML and GenAI capabilities to improve infrastructure and operational efficiency.
