Base Salary
$144k - $194k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test software components across ingestion, aggregation, reporting, and configuration layers.
- Build services and large-scale data-processing solutions using AWS services, databases, event systems, serverless orchestration, and stream-processing frameworks.
- Modernize legacy infrastructure, consolidate services, migrate to Native AWS, and support zero-downtime operations.
- Develop AI-powered configuration assistants, automated intake routing, and generative-AI operational tooling using Amazon Q and Bedrock.
- Own the full software development lifecycle from scoping and design through implementation, testing, and delivery.
- Define and apply coding standards, participate in code and design reviews, and contribute to deep technical discussions.
- Estimate development work, negotiate timelines, identify risks, and drive mitigation plans.
- Mentor junior team members and communicate technical concepts to stakeholders.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 2 years of non-internship experience designing or architecting new and existing systems for reliability and scaling.
- At least 1 year of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
- At least 1 year of experience designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded, or distributed applications, tools, systems, and services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
- At least 1 year of object-oriented design experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
- Preferred: at least 3 years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
