Base Salary

$144k - $194k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and support a world-class cloud-scale search platform.
  • Write robust, efficient, maintainable software for indexing, search, analytics, and distributed systems.
  • Work on OpenSearch and Apache Lucene, including opportunities to contribute to open source.
  • Address challenges involving data storage, query optimization, JVM performance, security, machine learning, and scalability.
  • Design algorithms and architectures, deliver results, and help define the vision and objectives for Search Services.
  • Collaborate with a motivated engineering team to solve complex customer and market problems.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • At least 2 years of non-internship experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
  • Experience programming in at least one software programming language.
  • Preferred: 3 or more years of full software development life-cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • Preferred: bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
