Base Salary
$152k - $242k/yr
Responsibilities
- Understand, modify, and improve NVIDIA’s proprietary GPU compiler backend written in C++.
- Design and develop compiler passes and optimizations that generate high-performance GPU machine instructions.
- Build robust and maintainable compiler and tooling solutions.
- Collaborate with global compiler, hardware, and application teams on improvements and problem resolution.
- Contribute to deep-learning compiler technology across architecture design and functional languages.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- At least 3 years of compiler code-generation experience.
- Excellent hands-on C++ programming skills.
- Strong software engineering principles with an emphasis on robust and maintainable solutions.
- Good communication and documentation skills and self-motivation.
- Preferred: M.S. or Ph.D. with significant compiler project or thesis work.
- Preferred: LLVM code-generation experience, including instruction scheduling, software pipelining, register allocation, GlobalISel, TableGen, LLVM IR, and Machine IR.
- Preferred: experience developing CUDA, DirectX, OpenGL, or Vulkan applications.
Benefits
- Base salary range of 152,000 USD to 241,500 USD, determined by location, experience, and comparable employee compensation.
- Eligible for equity and benefits.
