Base Salary
$102k - $219k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, optimize, test, deploy, and operate secure, reliable, accessible, scalable, and maintainable software features and services.
- Use AI tools across the software development lifecycle, review AI-generated changes, and apply Responsible AI practices.
- Create maintainable code, conduct code reviews, and improve code quality, test coverage, security, and compliance.
- Contribute to architecture, design documents, technical planning, estimation, dependency coordination, and release execution.
- Develop test strategies, automate testing, prevent regressions, and perform security testing.
- Support safe deployments, deployment automation, feature-flag experiments, flighting, rollback planning, and monitoring.
- Participate in on-call/live-site operations, troubleshoot incidents, improve telemetry and documentation, and maintain system reliability.
- Apply secure design, privacy, accessibility, safety, regulatory, and compliance requirements while collaborating across teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field and 2+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python, or equivalent experience.
- Experience using AI tools and practices across the software development lifecycle and reviewing AI-generated changes.
- Experience designing scalable algorithms, distributed systems, business applications, and resilient architectures.
- Experience across the software engineering and product lifecycle, including estimation, design and code review, bug triage, testing, and performance standards.
- Experience with test automation, quality assurance, and security testing to validate security invariants.
- Experience building secure software, threat modeling, privacy considerations, and regulatory or compliance requirements.
- Experience with logging, telemetry, monitoring, live-site operations, and on-call or DRI rotations.
- Problem-solving, data analysis, systems thinking, cross-team collaboration, conflict resolution, and clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience coaching engineers and contributing to code reviews is preferred.
Benefits
- The typical U.S. base pay range is USD $102,100-$202,200 per year; the San Francisco Bay Area and New York City metropolitan area range is USD $133,800-$219,200 per year.
- Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
- The position will remain open for at least 5 days and accepts applications on an ongoing basis until filled.
