Base Salary
$168k - $245k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and evolve hybrid-cloud network architectures and scalable network solutions.
- Automate connectivity and abstract network functionality from hardware.
- Design and manage overlay networks supporting thousands of containers.
- Develop monitoring and observability capabilities for network performance and reliability.
- Troubleshoot complex production issues across applications, systems, and networks.
- Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation and perform root-cause analysis and preventative reliability work.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with 7+ years of related experience, Master’s degree with 4+ years, or PhD with 1+ year of related experience.
- Experience designing, deploying, and operating mid-to-large-scale enterprise or cloud environments using AWS or Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, and Ansible.
- 4+ years of programming and scripting experience with Python, Bash, Ruby, or Go, plus advanced Unix/Linux systems administration and troubleshooting experience.
- 4+ years of networking expertise involving BGP, OSPF, IPv6, network security, DMVPN, MACSec, TLS, cloud/ISP/Telco environments, and related connectivity technologies.
- 4+ years of experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Grafana and Splunk, along with automation, project management, and AI-assisted engineering tools such as Codex, Claude Code, and Cursor.
- Understanding of agent-based workflows, reusable skills, MCP integrations, and critical evaluation of AI-generated output for accuracy, security, reliability, and maintainability.
