Base Salary
$169k - $270k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead device state and notification, partner integration, and mobile application teams for the Real Time Operations division.
- Design major software components, systems, and features for real-time situational awareness applications.
- Review architecture designs and maintain high standards for availability, performance, usability, code quality, and technical design.
- Assess engineering risks and guide strategic technical initiatives across the organization.
- Mentor and coach senior software engineers and develop future technical leaders.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, Engineering, customer, and third-party teams to deliver the product roadmap.
- Build systems that combine real-time device, media, and other data feeds on a single map for emergency responders.
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional software development experience.
- Proven experience designing and building complex, highly available cloud systems.
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases or other data storage systems.
- Experience with stream processing and message brokers.
- Experience mentoring and growing senior software engineers.
- Ability to collaborate with product and design teams and understand customer needs.
- Preferred experience with React, Redux, and TypeScript.
- Preferred experience with native iOS or Android applications.
- Preferred experience with maps or cartography.
