Responsibilities
- Develop, test, deploy, and support middleware, backend REST APIs, and integrations.
- Write unit and end-to-end tests and implement API best practices.
- Monitor applications and databases, identify performance bottlenecks, and resolve production issues.
- Independently run an Agile team of developers and test engineers and help unblock team members.
- Collaborate with product owners, tech leads, architects, management, product teams, and stakeholders across India and the US.
- Champion automation, cloud innovation, platform upgrades, and other technology improvements.
- Decompose stories into tasks and participate actively in Agile ceremonies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree, or equivalent degree, in computer science, computer engineering, or a related technical field.
- 8–11 years of overall software development experience.
- Strong Java skills, preferably Java 17 or later, including data structures and algorithms.
- Experience developing APIs with Spring Boot and using advanced Spring features, Spring Batch, Spring Security, AOP, and bean scopes.
- Experience with front-end applications and technologies such as React, Angular, and JavaScript, plus basic to intermediate Node.js experience.
- Strong experience with Docker, OpenShift, Kubernetes or equivalent environments, and CI/CD tools.
- Experience with SQL and Oracle or PostgreSQL databases; NoSQL database experience with Elasticsearch or MongoDB is preferred.
- Strong Kafka experience and experience with Apigee or an equivalent API gateway.
- Experience with Redis, Memcached, or equivalent distributed caching technologies.
- Experience scanning and mitigating OWASP security vulnerabilities using tools such as Snyk.
- Knowledge of SAML, OAuth, OpenID, FAPI, ISO, GDPR, and privacy policies.
- Experience tracing performance bottlenecks and production issues using tools such as JMeter, Splunk, AppDynamics, Dynatrace, or Grafana.
- Strong Linux skills and end-to-end or unit testing experience.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, ownership, and technical leadership skills.
- Experience working on large-scale financial applications and collaborating with teams in India and the United States.
