Base Salary

$211k - $304k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deploy rules-based and AI-assisted threat detections.
  • Build, maintain, and evolve detection pipelines using testing, validation, version control, CI/CD integration, and detections-as-code practices.
  • Analyze detection coverage gaps and mitigate risks through detective and preventative controls.
  • Use threat models, proactive threat hunts, logs, and telemetry to make data-driven security recommendations.
  • Design automations and AI-driven workflows to reduce mean time to detect and respond.
  • Deliver detection-as-a-service capabilities through self-service patterns, reusable components, and AI-enhanced detections.
  • Measure and improve detection coverage, precision, recall, false positive rate, and latency.
  • Partner with Security and Engineering stakeholders on cloud-scale threat detection and response.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of security engineering experience in threat detection, incident response, threat hunting, product security, corporate security, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong coding ability in Python or Go with experience building software, data tooling, or automations.
  • Experience handling data programmatically with SQL and Python, preferably with large-scale log and telemetry datasets.
  • Experience writing production code with unit tests, version control, and CI/CD integration.
  • Experience developing and operating agent-based or agentic workflows, such as with LangGraph or similar orchestration frameworks.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP and understanding of native logging, monitoring, and security services.
  • Familiarity with SaaS and workstation risks including account compromise, data exfiltration, phishing, and supply chain attacks.
  • Computer Science degree or equivalent practical experience is preferred.
  • Experience applying GenAI and LLM-based approaches to security workflows is preferred.
  • Experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, detections-as-code frameworks, high-volume data platforms, global-scale detections, Snowflake, Snowflake Cortex AI, or similar capabilities is preferred.
