Responsibilities
- Design, test, deploy, and maintain reusable authentication and authorization components.
- Integrate enterprise IAM solutions and identity providers using SAML, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, and SSO.
- Implement MFA, passwordless authentication, token-based authentication, session management, and secure API communication.
- Collaborate with backend developers to implement token validation, authorization mechanisms, and API security standards.
- Troubleshoot production authentication issues, participate in change management, and investigate security incidents.
- Perform root-cause analysis and vulnerability assessments for authentication systems.
- Develop reliable and scalable authentication features and support secure solution design and requirements analysis.
- Collaborate with product managers, security engineers, developers, and other stakeholders on security requirements and incident communications.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience as a web developer with significant focus on authentication and authorization implementations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience conducting stakeholder interviews, synthesizing requirements, and analyzing current processes.
- Experience with IAM solutions such as Okta, Entra ID (Azure AD), Ping Identity, Auth0, or similar.
- Practical experience with SAML, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, MFA methods, and secure authentication flows.
- Proficiency with web development frameworks and languages including React, Angular, Vue.js, Node.js, Python, Java, C#, JavaScript, TypeScript, and Go.
- Familiarity with OWASP Top 10, Zero Trust principles, authentication factors, user provisioning, LDAP, and Active Directory.
- Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines; optional scripting experience with Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Strong debugging, analytical, communication, collaboration, and stakeholder-management skills.
