Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain high-volume business logic running on mainframe systems.
- Monitor architecture, prevent performance degradation, and optimize code and system efficiency.
- Debug, troubleshoot, and analyze complex system interactions supporting mission-critical applications.
- Extract business logic from legacy systems for migration or integration with cloud-based services.
- Develop scalable and robust software using modern engineering practices and DevOps tools.
Requirements
- Experience working as a software engineer on complex software projects.
- Strong coding and software development experience in Java, Python, .NET, or similar technologies.
- Experience with software development methodologies, scalable software, debugging, and problem-solving.
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, data mapping, XML/JSON, and REST-based web services.
- Knowledge of architecture design, microservices, Docker, Kubernetes, and messaging queues.
- Deep understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience, preferred.
- Certification in Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud preferred; Kyndryl may support obtaining certifications.
- Experience with DevOps tools and modern engineering practices preferred.
