Responsibilities
- Design and implement automated, continuous backups of Azure IoT Hub device registry and device twin state.
- Store backup data securely in Azure Blob Storage and develop reliable backup automation.
- Implement, test, and document disaster recovery procedures and operational runbooks.
- Plan and execute device-state restoration drills and validate successful recovery in a development environment.
- Support monitoring and operational visibility for backup and recovery processes.
- Collaborate with cloud, DevOps, backend, and IoT engineering teams on platform resilience.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Cloud or DevOps Engineer in Microsoft Azure environments.
- Strong hands-on experience with Azure IoT Hub and Azure Storage or Blob Storage.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code, automation, backup, and disaster recovery solutions.
- Experience creating operational disaster recovery runbooks and recovery procedures.
- Experience with monitoring and operational dashboards.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Advantageous qualifications include Azure IoT Hub disaster recovery, IoT or edge platforms, Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines, Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates, Python, PowerShell, Bash, recovery drills, business continuity testing, and Azure security and identity management.
