Responsibilities
- Design, code, debug, unit test, and document large and complex software applications.
- Develop scalable Java and Spring Boot backend solutions and make architectural and design decisions.
- Develop eCommerce store functionality, content integrations, and integrations with external systems.
- Collaborate with developers, consultants, and cross-functional teams on technical implementation and planning.
- Troubleshoot complex or escalated incidents and identify technical risks and improvement opportunities.
- Conduct code reviews, mentor junior team members, and provide implementation guidance.
- Research emerging technologies and recommend or validate new software engineering approaches.
- Deliver work according to agreed standards and follow solution architecture and development guidelines.
Requirements
- Requires 3–5 years of hands-on software development experience.
- Requires a graduation-level educational qualification.
- Strong development experience with Java 11 or above, Spring, and Spring Boot.
- Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, object-oriented programming, design principles, and design patterns.
- Experience with logging frameworks such as SLF4J, Logback, or Log4j.
- Experience writing JUnit tests using Mockito or PowerMock.
- Understanding of exception handling, serialization and deserialization, immutability, collections, annotations, generics, and autoboxing.
- Experience with multithreading, concurrent packages and APIs, and Java memory management concepts.
- Experience with RDBMS or NoSQL databases and writing SQL queries.
- Experience creating and consuming RESTful web services.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, cloud technologies, SonarQube, code management tools, and caching mechanisms.
- Strong problem-solving, logical and analytical skills, with the ability to work independently and handle ambiguous technical problems.
- Agile project management experience is preferred.
