Base Salary

$193k - $289k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and coordinate automotive software engineering projects across concept, development, validation, SOP, and post-SOP maintenance.
  • Act as the chief technical counterpart and primary technical contact for OEM engineering leadership on ADAS-related programs.
  • Define technical solution proposals involving Qualcomm SoCs, BSP, platform software, and reference platforms.
  • Coordinate Qualcomm hardware, software, systems, safety, security, tools, and test teams to meet customer milestones.
  • Lead technical workstreams for RFIs, RFQs, advanced customer engagements, design reviews, workshops, debugging, and integration activities.
  • Drive resolution of technical issues, risks, escalations, customer deliverables, and program trade-offs.
  • Represent customer priorities and requirements internally and provide feedback to product management and engineering.
  • Mentor cross-functional teams and provide technical thought leadership in a complex matrix organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field and 8+ years of Software Engineering or related experience; alternatively, a master's degree and 7+ years or a PhD and 6+ years.
  • 4+ years of work experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
  • Extensive software engineering experience, including project management and leadership roles.
  • Strong automotive systems engineering experience involving compute platform architecture, embedded software stacks, and ADAS, parking, or driver-monitoring software.
  • Understanding of automotive safety and quality frameworks such as ISO 26262 and ASPICE, as well as cybersecurity standards.
  • Experience as a customer-facing technical leader, chief engineer, system architect, technical program lead, or equivalent.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams without direct authority in a complex matrix organization.
  • Strong structured problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm and decisive under pressure.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally to customer and Qualcomm sites as needed.
