Responsibilities
- Lead initiatives delivering state-of-the-art closed- and open-world detection capabilities.
- Expand and fuse detection models to improve performance and extend detection range.
- Improve model frameworks, architectures, and data pipelines.
- Develop robust software for real-time, resource-constrained, and safety-critical onboard vehicle deployment.
- Drive cross-functional features and workstreams from problem definition through delivery.
- Contribute to the technical direction of the team and broader perception organization.
- Align stakeholders through presentations and communication.
- Lead challenging technical topics and build consensus.
Requirements
- Extensive experience architecting, training, and deploying deep learning models in real-world environments.
- Track record of driving applied research projects from conception through experimentation, iteration, publication, or productization.
- Experience delivering detection, segmentation, and/or tracking solutions for real-time robotic applications.
- Prior sensor fusion experience is highly desirable.
- Strong software engineering and machine learning algorithm design experience.
- Fluency in Python.
- Experience with C++.
