Senior Software Engineer, Developer Platform
GetYourGuideResponsibilities
- Maintain and enhance CI/CD workflows using GitHub Actions and ArgoCD.
- Administer GitHub repositories, permissions, and workflows.
- Develop and maintain automated testing tools for Java, JavaScript, and Python projects.
- Build tools that simplify local development environments and service testing.
- Maintain the in-house AI agent and related developer workflows and support AI-tool adoption.
- Collaborate with engineers across multiple languages to deliver productivity-focused tooling.
- Write clean, maintainable backend code and iterate on solutions using feedback and usage metrics.
Requirements
- 5+ years of backend development experience with at least one of Java, JavaScript/Node.js, Python, or Go.
- Willingness to work across multiple programming languages and learn new tools and practices.
- Familiarity with Git, cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS, and CI/CD concepts.
- Fluent English communication skills and a collaborative, proactive working style.
- Experience with GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, or similar tools is preferred.
- Exposure to Kubernetes, Docker, testing frameworks, or developer-productivity automation is preferred.
