Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define product requirements and incorporate feedback into designs and solutions.
- Translate functional requirements into system designs and communicate component interactions.
- Design and develop product components, refine implementation plans, and lead design reviews.
- Estimate project delivery costs and escalate risks that may cause delays.
- Create and maintain extensible, reusable code while driving code quality through metrics and best practices.
- Debug moderately complex issues and identify automation opportunities.
- Lead code reviews and provide feedback on coding standards and implementation quality.
- Create complex test plans, identify test gaps, and address defects proactively.
- Use data analysis and monitoring standards to identify patterns and defects across environments.
- Participate in on-call rotations and troubleshoot and resolve complex incidents.
- Build and enhance developer tools supporting programs and applications.
- Stay current with technical trends and recommend resources and solutions to improve product performance.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of relevant experience with a bachelor’s degree, at least 2 years with an advanced degree, 0 years with a PhD, or at least 8 years of relevant experience without the stated degree path.
- Experience in software engineering or a directly related field.
- Experience developing or implementing web-based or mobile applications.
- Expertise in .NET; C++ and Python experience is a plus.
- Experience building and using microservices with HTTP, REST, and JSON.
- Ability to solve complex software development and design problems and write clean, coherent code.
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL datastores such as MySQL and MongoDB.
- Experience using VSCode, JetBrains IntelliJ, or another major Java IDE.
- Experience with Git/Stash, Maven, and Jenkins.
- Experience with Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes, HazelCast, and Prometheus or similar monitoring tools.
- Experience developing tools, automation, CI/CD, auto-deployment, system availability, logging, and monitoring solutions.
- Experience using GenAI for business-feature development and innovation.
- Front-end experience with Angular or React is a plus.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams and iterative software development lifecycles.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience with container-based technologies and enterprise-scale web service development and testing.
- Experience in product development and on client-facing projects or technical teams.
