Responsibilities
- Lead the design and delivery of complex full-stack features across data models, APIs, React PWA front ends, and production deployment.
- Architect scalable Node.js backend services and REST APIs using Express.js or NestJS, including authentication, error handling, versioning, and performance standards.
- Lead Progressive Web App architecture covering service workers, offline-first caching, push notifications, and installability.
- Design MongoDB data models and aggregation strategies and guide data architecture decisions.
- Build responsive, touch-optimized React interfaces for desktop, tablet, and mobile users.
- Drive code quality through technical standards, code reviews, technical debt reduction, and consistent engineering practices.
- Mentor junior and mid-level developers through code reviews, pair programming, and technical guidance.
- Analyze production incidents and optimize performance across Node.js, MongoDB, and React/PWA layers.
- Contribute engineering input to technical roadmaps, feasibility assessments, risk analysis, and build-versus-buy decisions.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and delivery commitments.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of full-stack web development experience with depth in Node.js backend and React frontend delivery.
- Expertise operating production Node.js services with Express.js or NestJS, REST API design, middleware, JWT/OAuth2 authentication, and performance tuning.
- Deep React expertise including component architecture, hooks, Redux or Context API, code splitting, performance optimization, and responsive delivery.
- Experience architecting and shipping PWAs using service workers, Cache API, Workbox, web app manifests, push notifications, and installability features.
- Experience delivering mobile- and tablet-optimized applications, including responsive and touch-optimized design, Core Web Vitals, performance profiling, and cross-device testing.
- Strong hands-on MongoDB experience with document and collection design, aggregation pipelines, indexing, performance optimization, and data modeling.
- Expertise designing, documenting, and governing REST APIs, including authentication, versioning, contracts, and enterprise integrations.
- Familiarity with Git branching strategies, Azure DevOps or similar CI/CD pipelines, and sprint-based delivery.
- Strong English communication skills.
- Preferred experience with advanced Workbox strategies, Web Push API, FCM, VAPID keys, GraphQL, WebSocket real-time patterns, microservices, API gateways, Jest, Cypress, Playwright, Docker, containerized deployment, Azure DevOps CI/CD, and Microsoft Azure.
